1. What cookies and local storage are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. It is how a site recognises a returning browser. Local storage works differently: it is a larger area of browser storage that stays on your device and is never automatically sent anywhere.

That distinction matters on this site, because almost everything Pokky Game itself saves uses local storage rather than cookies. We do not currently set advertising cookies. If we enable Google AdSense, advertising partners may set cookies as described below.

2. What this site stores

Storage we set ourselves

Our games save your progress in your browser’s local storage. Each game uses its own key, holding only gameplay values:

This never reaches our servers

Game saves are written and read entirely by code running in your browser. They are not transmitted to us, are not readable by other websites, and are not linked to any identifier we hold. It is also why your scores do not carry across to another device.

Strictly necessary

Public pages do not currently set first-party cookies in order to play games. Hosting or security infrastructure may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the site available for example, to identify automated abuse. An operator session cookie is used only on the administrative sign-in pages, not for visitors playing games.

3. Advertising cookies

Pokky Game is free to use. We do not currently display ads or load Google AdSense. We may use Google AdSense in the future. If we do, advertising partners may set cookies and use similar technologies on this site. Those would be the cookies here with a tracking function.

Cookie names and durations are set by those vendors and can change without notice, which is why the table above describes function rather than listing exact names. The authoritative, current list is published by Google at business.safety.google/adscookies.

We would not receive the personal data these cookies collect. What would reach us is aggregated performance and earnings reporting.

4. Consent

We do not currently set non-essential advertising cookies, so there is no advertising consent prompt on the Site today. If we enable advertising, visitors in regions that require consent including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked before any non-essential advertising cookie is set, and will be able to change or withdraw that choice.

Declining advertising cookies, now or later, does not stop you using the site or any game on it. If ads are shown after a refusal, they are typically non-personalised: chosen from general context such as the page you are on, using only the limited data needed for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, either for all sites or for one site in particular:

Clear your game saves

Clearing site data for pokkygame.com in your browser settings removes local storage as well as cookies. That will reset your high scores and unlocked levels, and we cannot restore them.

Blocking everything has a cost

Blocking all cookies and storage is your right, but it also means games will forget your progress every time you leave the page. If you want to keep your saves while limiting tracking, opt out of personalised advertising rather than clearing site data.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is still no agreed industry standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not currently alter our behaviour based on that signal. The public Site does not run advertising or analytics cookies today. If we enable advertising, we will honour recognised opt-out mechanisms such as those listed in section 5.
