- Pick a corner for your largest tile and avoid the one direction that would pull it out. Most of the game is played with the other three.
- Build a chain along the edge in descending order (for example 256, 128, 64, 32) so each merge feeds the next.
- Save Undo for a slide that knocks your big tile out of its corner. It also takes back the points.
- Remove is most useful when a few scattered 2s are blocking merges. It clears all of them at once.
