# How to Play Ball Blast – Number Blocks: Tips and Strategies for Beginners
Ball Blast is a neon brick-breaker on Pokky Game. You fire a whole stream of balls into numbered blocks. Each hit takes one off a block. At zero, the block breaks. After every turn the formation drops one row closer to the danger line, so you have to clear it before it gets there.
The game is free in the browser. No account, and nothing to install. Press Start Game to begin. There are 90 levels.
1. What Is Ball Blast – Number Blocks?
The blocks sit in a grid seven columns wide. You do not fire one ball. You fire every ball in your stream, and each one that strikes a block knocks one off its number.
A +1 ring adds a ball to that stream. The ring is collected when a ball flies through it, and it joins the stream only after every ball is back on the floor. The first ball to land marks the spot the next turn launches from.
If any block crosses the danger line, the level is lost. Break every block and the level is won.
2. How to Play Ball Blast – Number Blocks
Open the game and press Start Game.
- Aim and fire. Drag, then release. A guide shows the angle, and the whole stream fires along it.
- Keyboard. Left and Right adjust the aim. Space, Enter, or Up fires.
- Recall. Down, B, or the recall button calls every ball back to the floor.
- Pause and restart. Esc or P pauses. R restarts the level.
On a phone, drag to aim and lift your finger to fire.
Example: A block shows 4, and two balls hit it. The number falls to 2. Two more hits break it, and that break is worth 10 points on top of 1 point for each hit.
3. Understanding the Rules
- Each ball that hits a block takes one off its number. The block breaks at zero.
- Fly a ball through a +1 ring to collect it. The extra ball joins your stream once every ball has returned to the floor.
- The first ball to land sets the launch spot for the next turn.
- After every turn, the whole formation moves down one row.
- A block that crosses the danger line loses the level. A "Danger!" warning appears under the level number when one row of space is left.
- There are 90 levels in three chapters of 30: Neon Start, Deep Grid, and Overdrive.
- Every tenth level is a hand-drawn formation, from Invader at level 10 to Final Core at level 90. The shapes include a heart, a fortress, and a skull.
4. Beginner Tips and Strategies
- Watch where the first ball comes down. That spot is where the next turn fires from, so a good angle this turn also sets up the next one.
- Collect rings early. Every extra ball means more hits on every turn after it, and a bigger bonus when the level clears.
- Look for a gap that lets balls slip behind the formation. A ball bouncing between the ceiling and the top row keeps hitting blocks on the way down.
- Clear the lowest row before it reaches the line. When "Danger!" appears, that row is the shot, even if a higher number looks tempting.
- Aim so the first ball lands under the column you want to fire from next, not under a gap you cannot use.
5. Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Firing straight up and ignoring where the first ball will settle. The next turn is stuck in that spot.
- Leaving +1 rings while you chip at a single block. The ring pays on every later turn, and again when the level is cleared.
- Letting the bottom row drop while you chase a shape higher up. One more turn and the level is over.
- Restarting as soon as the warning appears. Recall brings the balls home so you can take another angle before the formation steps down.
- Treating every tenth level like a normal grid. Those boards are drawn shapes. The gaps in a heart or a skull are where balls get behind the blocks.
6. How Scoring Works
Each hit is worth 1 point. Each block you break is worth 10.
Clearing a level adds 100, plus 5 for every ball in your stream. That is why a ring pays twice: the extra ball hits more blocks during the level, and it adds another 5 to the clear bonus.
A short stream can still finish a level. A longer stream finishes it for more points, which is why the rings are worth taking in the first chapters, not only in Overdrive.
7. Play Ball Blast Online on Pokky Game
Press Start Game, aim along the guide, and fire the stream. Break the lowest row before it crosses the line, and send a ball through every +1 ring you can reach.
8. Another game on the same site
If you would rather shoot numbered targets in real time, Cannon Attack is on Pokky Game too. Each ball shows how many hits it can take, and you slide the cannon to dodge while you fire.
